HGF (Hepatocyte Growth Factor)
- Animal-derived product free
- Available in Bulk
- Lyophilized and Carrier Free (CF)
- Authentic Glycosylation
Xeno-free HGF is expressed in human 293 cells and has an apparent molecular mass of 70 kDa. The molecular mass of HGF is lower compared to the reported range for this cytokine expressed in NS0 cells (70 to 80 kDa) which emphasizes the difference in post translational modifications. HGF is produced in a serum-free, chemically defined media. HGF is a mesanchymally derived protein mitogen for mature parenchymal hepatocyte cells and acts as a growth factor for a broad spetrum of tissues and cell types.
- Species: Human

The protein was resolved by SDS- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and the gel was stained with Coomassie blue.
The activity was determined by the dose- dependent stimulation of the proliferation of the monkey epithelial cell line 4MBr-5.
Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the protein in sterile 1xPBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant human serum albumin (HSA).
Synonyms: Scatter Factor (SF), Hepatopoietin (HPTA)
